Cultivate Young Entrepreneurs
CYE is a youth workforce development program that prepares scholars in grades 9-12 for post-secondary education and meaningful employment through small urban farming and community garden development. Our program provides hands-on training, enrichment seminars and educational workshops that teach practical job skills and professional etiquette. In addition, scholars are provided weekly stipends, checking accounts, and scholarships.
Our Program
- CYE is designed to teach new and beginning farmers principles of bio-intense growing for community development and financial income.
- CYE meets on a regular basis in the demonstration gardens or satellite farms for field-based training and workshops.
- CYE conducts professional seminars that focus on career exploration, resume building, & job readiness.
- CYE participates in micro, mobile, and local farmers markets to support self, family, and community.

Eligibility
- Ages 15-21
- Enrolled in public/private school or post-secondary institution
